Motivation

The concept of a real time "plant" simulator to aide in the understanding of closed loop control systems is an interesting topic.  Wouldn't it be cool to have a way to explore various aspects of control loop systems and how the plant parameters interact with compensation schemes to see how it runs in real time without the risk of damaging the hardware because of an unforeseen instability or a bug in the compensator?

It takes a considerable amount of time and effort to construct such simulators, so it is important to distribute the effort over many different applications.  Programmable Solution spent the time and effort to develop the simulators where others can reap the benefits in a cost effective manner.
